Discover a new way of softening your LED tube lights. The AIRTUBE increases the light aperture of your light fixture. Simply attach it in front of one or more tubes and then inflate it. Benefit from all the features of your LED tubes, such as battery operation, color selection, effects, and pixel control. When using a long AIRTUBE, it's possible to connect several short LED tubes one after the other to the AIRTUBE. Perfect for generating extremely long, uninterrupted reflections for product film shoots or photo shoots. Additionally, the AIRTUBE offers mounting options for other accessories: skirts, spill light covers, and egg crates. We rely on high-quality and proven materials, such as the motion picture technical fabrics Magic Cloth® and Ultrabounce® from TRP worldwide. Included with every AIRTUBE free of charge are skirts and a spill light cover.

The skirt and the spill light cover are made of black opaque fabric, which absorbs 99% of the light. The skirt consists of two parts to cover either one side of the AIRTUBE or both sides. Velcroed together, they enclose the entire AIRTUBE. The spill light cover also consists of two parts and facilitates flexible attachment to possible mounts and access to menus and connectors. Both the spill light cover and the skirts can be easily joined together by Velcro and are attached to the AIRTUBE's fleece band by Velcro.

What kind of cloth do you use for the AIRTUBE?

We are using special motion picture technical fabrics from TRP Worldwide (The Rag Place). Especially Black/White Ultrabounce® and Magic Cloth®.

What are the material limits of the AIRTUBE?

The AIRTUBE is build for maximum ~12 PSI/0,83 bar. The seams of the textile will start to tear apart, when exceeding the air pressure. Be careful when using an air compressor and always keep an eye on the air pressure when inflating. The transparent body can withstand a temperature of up to 212°F/100°C. Discoloration, deformation or even holes can then appear.

There are some imperfections.

During our quality control we sort out bad materials. But maybe we simply have overlooked something. Just contact us and send us a picture. Furthermore it may happen that due to the production process there might be a crease or seam we cannot avoid.

What is the cardboard roll good for and do I need to use the protection sleeve?

We highly recommend to store the AIRTUBE gently rolled up on the cardboard roll and inside the protective sleeve to reduce kinks, wrinkles and containments.

Do you offer custom sized AIRTUBEs?

Yes. Just contact us for more details.

For which light fixtures is the AIRTUBE intended?

The AIRTUBE is primarily intended for LED tubes, LED bars and very narrow LED panels from the film, show and TV industry. However, all types of light tubes, bars, panels and strips can be used, which can be securely fixed on the outside. You should pay attention to the fact that broken glass can damage the AIRTUBE when using Kinoflo lamps or normal fluorescent tubes and always be aware of overheating. In any case, you must not exceed the material limits of the AIRTUBE and you should always act with common sense.

Do you also offer air pumps/blower to the AIRTUBE?

Since the air valve of our AIRTUBE has a common inlet size ~0.68"/1,75cm you can use almost every air pump/blower already on the market. At the moment we do not offer a special air pump/blower.

Are you offering spare parts?

Depending on the product, we offer separate parts for exchange.

Do you have any tips on cleaning the AIRTUBE´s outside?

Use warm water and gentle soap for the white translucent Magic Cloth® and for the black Ultrabounce® please use a multi-purpose cleaner (e.g. Formula 409 Cleaner) or warm water with gentle soap. Also a microfaber cloth is always very useful.

Are there any known temperature issues?

When operating in a warm environment and using the spill light cover, overheating problems can occur. Just make sure there is enough space for some air circulation.
